Reformation and Martin Luther
Martin Luther was a monk in 16th century Germany who shook up the Roman Catholic Church by rediscovering the truth and heart of the bible: that we are saved by the grace of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is a free gift, not by earned by deeds or works or bought with money. This led to what we call 'The Reformation'.
We celebrate the Reformation on a Sunday close to 31st October when Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the church in Wittenburg.
